It’s not just my name written on it, fall in love Elizabeth Stitch. This stitch is a combination of single crochet and half-double crochet stitched together. I’m sure anyone would agree, the design is a thing of beauty.
Why this granny square loose, you ask? Because each typical granny round is separated with lacy chains.

Yarn over twice. Insert hook into the next stitch. Yarn over and pull up a loop. Now there are 4 loops on your hook. Yarn over, and pull the yarn through two loops. Now there are 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over, and pull the yarn through all remaining 3 loops.
